HOT HOT Deal - ATI X800XT Platinum @ $229.00

Shows at the ATI Store on their clearance section. They also have the PRO at 199.00

I called their customer service dept and they are offering the full 3yr manufacturers warranty on these cards. They expect all orders will start to ship out Aug 20th-Aug 25th

Enjoy!!

Are the prices in USD?

If they're refurb maybe something was wrong with 'em

hmm.....sounds tempting. especially since they are offering a 3yr. warranty on them. But i would like to know the reason why they were sent in for service/RMA.

I am very tempted to buy one, as I feel maybe ATi is beginning to dump this gen in preparation for next gen., (also found the 10% off code which basicallly pays for shipping). Anyone know how loud this card is compared to a 9800pro? My 9700pro has a zalman heat sink and I would hate to gain alot of noise, especially when in 2d.

Not loud at all on dynamic fan. Just put the Zalman on the X800.

the cooling solutions for both cards are cmpletely different. The x800 cards have a large fan pushing more air at slower RPMs, but i really wouldn't be able to compare the two because i have not owned both at the same time befor.e

This is really a great deal, Although it would be nice to know why these were sent back to ATI. I have had this card for almost a year now and man does it rock. If they were selling the pci-e version I would buy it in a heart beat!

What is also amusing is that ATI's price list shows that the X800XTPE retails for 499, and that the X850XTPE retails for 450. I really can't bellieve they are selling this card so cheap, you cant even buy a 9800 pro on their website for this price, and the x700 pro is the same also. Amazing.

COMPusa and other stores still sell this card for 499.

Makes me kinda upset... lol

Exactly. Plus, I'm building my PCI-E based rig at the moment, and I would have loved to have a X800XT PE PCI-E card in my rig.

Same page, but Canadian priced HERE.

$289.00 Can. for the Platnium, refurb or not, is a great deal especially if they offer a 3 year warranty ta boot. Thanks for posting about this. I'll have to send this out to friends. I'd be affraid of getting one of these though.. I might get my old card back.

That'd really suck.

Yes using the 10% discount, I got it for a total of 298.68 - including taxes and delivery. Not to bad for Ca dollars.

Nice. I'm thinking of picking up a couple as well. See if any of my customers wants one, and maybe through one into my server. I have an old promo code that seems to still be working (even after a year), so we'll see. Guess I'll sleep on it, and decided tomorrow.

Thanks again, ceato.

Can't find any experation date on the offer but once the word gets out the pre-orders might exceed the supply.

Both of the 10% off codes are no longer valid. They'll only get you 5% off now.

According to ATIs US site the X800 Pros are "In-Stock". I figure anyone that ordered those will probably start to see them pretty soon. I'm still trying to figure out why the US site has them, but the Canadian one doesn't even though they are the same site.. technically.

Still debating on getting another XTPE for myself.
