x800xt pe refurb arrived - quite loud

My x800xt pe refurb arrived and is like night and day - even 2d is crisper. So what is the best way to make idle quieter - artic cooler of zalman? Any experiences? Remains the same speed during gaming it seems.

Also was surprised to find this card a full inch longer than my 9700pro, was a tight fit.
What does the rage theatre chip do?
Is it a good idea to downclock 2d and slow fan with ati tool or is this even possible?

There that was a bunch of dumb questions about a card that is working perfectly - HL2 looked like a whole new game!

Edit: Just installed ati tool and lowering fan speed makes destop quiet with temps around 45 - is this ok for idle?

Edit #2: Why does 3dmark see this as a x850 chipset, bug?
