Help with FireGL V7100

Ok, got a interesting and frusrating problem with this card. It's a PCI express card. I have two 1600SW SGI Flat Planels, one has a DVI-D and one is a DVI-I connector. This is because of the adapters I have to convert the monitors signals. Now the monitor which is using the DVI-I connector runs fine. But when I connect that other card up I lose video totally on both monitors. This same set-up ran on my older FireGL X2-t256 card with no issues at all. Narrowed it down to the Graphics card I thought and RMA'd it to ATI. Just got it back today and it's still doing the same thing...Anyone have any ideas?

System Specs

With a board like the FireGL where you pay out the ass for great features, you'd think ATI's tech support would be more inclined to help someone who shelled out over $1000 for a workstation board.

More than likely, it's a driver issue. Have you tried using the stock drivers that came with the board?

And just making sure, but I have to ask: Are you using any kind of adapter that connects the DVI plugs together or splits them apart?

It had been on the earlier driver set. But ATI wants you to update to the latest drivers....the older ones had the same problem. But I didn;'t try any drivers older then the ones I had and the newest one which is 8.133 I think. The DVI are straight connects although they do come from converter boxes that convert the LVS SGI signal to DVI.

Called ATI this morning. First thing he said was to make sure you have the latest chipset drivers. WHich I have. I wouldn't have called without doing that already. Said he had forwarded it to the engineers. Seems to be something they havn't run into a bunch, but he did say someone else had a very similiar issue with a card today as well. We'll see...

Well, looks like I'm not the only one with this problem. ATI said they had two others with the same issue. Couldn't run dual monitors with DVI-D. It's only been happening with the up tier cards sounds like. They told mine, one x850 and a x700 all had the same problem. It's been refered to their engineering group so just waiting on results from that.
