I cant figure out this vivo crap..help

I just used the s-video connector that came with my x850 pro and hooked it up to a dvd player and the dvd player is on and running but no picture on monitor.....
I figured that the program would have installed on the cd that came with the card,and since my pc dont have a audio in how would I get sound?

1. Are you sure the card is VIVO?
2. If so, make sure its plugged into the IN port so you'll see it on your PC
3. Most DVD players have macrovision to prevent something like this

yes its a vivo but anything that I hook up to it dont show on screen...what app should I be using to see the display?
