Pissed 9700 Pro on IWill XP333-R not working

I'm trying to install a 9700 Pro in the following system (replacing the GeForce3):

IWill XP333-R w/ BIOS 32404 12.20.2002
Athlon XP 2000+ @ 133 fsb
Thermaltake Volcano 7 CPU Heatsink/Fan
2 x Crucial 512MB DDR PC2100 (CT6464Z265.16T)
Antec PP-412X 400W PS (+5v & +3.3v comb. = 245W, +5SB = 3A)
VisionTek Geforce3
SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum
Intel Pro/100 S nic
Adaptec 39160 Ultra160 SCSI controller
Seagate Cheetah X15 18 GB SCSI drive
Fujitsu 18 GB SCSI drive
Mitsumi IDE CD-ROM
Yamaha IDE CD-RW
WinXP Pro w/SP1

I've tried 3 different motherboard bios versions, and tried unhooking all non-essential components to make sure the card was getting enough power (should be anyway). No matter what I do, all I ever get when I boot is garbage patterns on the screen. This is with a flat panel via the DVI, as well as a CRT via the analog (not hooked up at the same time).

I'm trying to figure out if I have a bad card, an incompatability, or some other weirdness going on. Others have been able to get the 9700 Pro to work on my same motherboard, with the same version of BIOS that I currently have installed.

Any thoughts?

Can you actually see your bios setup screen when you boot up?

How is your ram configured in your bios & how it is mounted in your motherboard?

Sounds like you may have a bad vidcard!
Do you have another machine(friends machine) to rule out your system as the issue?

It indeed was a bad video card. I exchange the card for another on Tuesday, and the new one worked flawlessly.
