Ati 600x

Hi guys new to this forum so not sure if this has come up, but i have been having video problems with my ATI Radeon 600 PCI express 256MB while in games.

The problem occurs in older games (medal of honor) as well as newer games Battlefield 2.

And now the problem. After about 5-10 minutes of play i begin to get black dots and lines flickering on my screen. Than eventually the Screen freezes and either i get a VPU recovery and it may or may not recover (its tempermental). Or the most extreme outcome...i lose all video and my video and sound crashes.

I have updated all drivers. From the video card, to the monitor, the BIOS, and every other driver i could find to update on my pc. I am beginning to believe its the actual graphics card and before i take that out or bring my PC back to where i got it so they can run a diagnostic.

Any type of ideas you people could give would be greatly appreciated.

Oh i have an Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz, 1 Gig of RAM, the above graphics card, and at the moment i cant think of the other specs.

System Specs

I'd check for dust a proper operation of you GPU & CPU fan
and make sure the temps are acceptable with in thier tolerences.
under load as well as idle. I'd also check your power supply voltage
readings in the bios.

The Cowboy nailed it.
Sounds like me like it might be a heat-related issue.
Has this problem always been, or is this new?

The problems been there for 2 months (with off and on use and trying to get help from people i know and searching for the help myself).

Well the temperatures are good, their is no dust (i have always cleaned the pc off once a week).

Any idea what the minimum power supply might be for the this card. Currently have 115/230V AC input
