Help Required with a Powercolor X850XT

Hi to all,
I have just bought and installed a Powercolor ATI X850XT, after reading all the tests on it i thought i couldnt go wrong with this card. I have just downloaded the new omega drivers and run the benchmark test in the overclocking menu. To my amazment i have got the slowest results on the graph with a total of 1379.

I then downloaded 3Dmark05 and on the 2D tests im getting 0 FPS or maybe 1 FPS if im lucky.

On Performance test v 4.0 from Passmark im getting over 2300 FPS on the 3D Tests and over 3500 on the 2D tests.

My system is as follows:

AMD XP 64 3000+ (@1.98Ghz) Winchester
Asus AV8 Deluxe board, latest Bios version.
1 Gig Dual channel ram PC3200 (Kingston)
200gig Samsung drive 7200rpm
Win XP home edition service pack 1
Temp from the CPU never goes over 35°C
MB temp 20°C (total of 5 Artic cooling fans).

Ive uploaded a pic to my website from the ATI Benchmark results, just press the link below:

I have also reinstalled the card now 3 times but nothing helps.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thankyou.

Uninstall the drivers for the video card, boot into safe mode and run driver cleaner, boot back into windows and reinstall drivers.

Thankyou for your quick awnser, unfortunalty the results are still the same. On 3DMARK05 first game i get 20-30 fps, one the 2nd game i get 5-14 fps and on the last one 25-40fps. On the 2d versions of the game i still get a complete 0-1 fps. Im taking the whole computer to the shop were i bought the card.

Well, I would say try the official ATI drivers, because I'm not sure if omegadrivers support the X1x00 series.

he doesnt have an x1k series he has an x800 series, Did you have another video card before this and you were able to play games at decent framerates? If you havent done it in a while id reccomend backing up any data you may want to save and reformatting the hd

System Specs

I have the same card (Powercolor X850XT ViVo PciE) and have over 7000 points. I bet it is a driver problem.

Check out if you have TV-Out enabled.

Regards, Partizan

Thankyou all for your awnsers. Yes i had a Nivida card before the ATI. The Problem has now been sorted out and this card is extreamly fast.

The problem was Windows XP not recognising the card properly. This was noticed by the shop i bought the card from as it was showing up in the hardware manager as a "VGA Source". Also the AGP wasnt on at all, it was a 1 and if you moved it up to 8 the PC would reboot but nothing would actually change.

HD Format was the only way around this. Everything works fine now.
