I have this problem too but my PSU is weaker than that one even (surprised its held on as long as it has).

What brand is it, out of curiosity?

Raidmax supplies aren't exactly known for their reliability under high load, so yeah, that may be the issue. I'd try picking up a unit from Antec, Enermax, OCZ, or PC Power & Cooling.

Fortron/Sparkle are great, and I would recommend then over Antec and Enermax.

I wouldn't....my friend had an OEM SParke PSU and he had nothing but problems. Replacing it with an Enermax solved the issue

Unfortunately thats something no one on this forum can really help you with.

I can only offer you the suggestion of buying it in cash and not telling her
