Temperature danger threshold...

So I know.

What should the video cards temperature never reach? What should the max it should ever get in LOAD temp?

For the X1800 XT?

Thanks

I start worrying when anything hits over 60c.
Anything under that I would say safe but ATI cards have a very high temperature threshhold so I wouldn't really worry unless you start seeing artifacfts and lockups.

I guess ATI tool is screwed up because if I overclock with it. My card freezes (I overclock it to what ATI overdrive does for testing) ATI overdrive it runs fine and no articfacting or freezing. But with ATI tool it just lockups the system and artificats. Weird. Anything else out there?

Okay this is weird.

My Video card is stable now???

I overclocked it just above extreme speeds and now it's running super stable at 56-57 fps on this first screen of 3D mark. My fan is always 100% so as to avoid overheating, just noisy lol. This is really interesting...

Questions actually.

Can the card I have SLI bridge with a second of equal? So can I use two x1800 Xts??? Cause if I can OMG lol

As far as I know, ATITool does not support the X18 lineup of cards due to the fact that it hasen't been updated in quite some time.

Latest ATI Tool beta does for sure, supports amperage monitoring fan control OC'ing etc. it just acts weird.

Have you tried the specific 1800XT OC'ing tool that was posted here or the newest ATI Tool Beta (0.25 beta 11 I think)
