Just won an auction on ebay for an x1800xl 256mb for $235 Replacing my 6800GT
New card should be here late next week. All i want is stutter free gaming at 1280x1024 2xaa4xaf is that too much to ask?

I get stutter free gaming at 1600x1200, 2xAA 16xAF with an X800XT, so I guess it isn't too much to ask.

i would get the same as H3X but my monitor dosent go 1600x1200 =)

But perhaps your proc would balance out the video card difference.... or not. I think at 1600x1200 the fill rate on the card is the limiting factor. I need to stop drinking in the morning.

well it depends on the game man,i can run counter-strike source at all max over 1600x1200 (tried on a friends monitor) and need for speed most wanted runs fine maxed out at 1600x1200 but battlefield 2 would prolly be another story eh?

Just sent out the money order for it hopefully ill have the card friday, My 6800gt is still up on ebay, now at the whopping price of $1.25

Even tho they have 256MB of ram, they hold their own. Mine rapes a GTX256 at my clocks i sometimes run (680/1360). And $235 jesus, ima sell mine for atleast $250

Yea I got lucky on the $235. when i bid with like 50 seconds left it was at 220 i bid 235 and just seconds behind me someone else bid 235 but mine went in first and then the clock ran out

Stock cooling, i run (1.3/2.1v) for 680/1360 at full fan. I dont do that often and prob wont do it again, Im good with 650/1300 (1.25/2.0v) in any game and the temps stay below 70*. I love this card, i just want 690/1600 and 48alus 24/7.

650/1300 sounds good enough for me on stock cooling considering im coming from
410/1050

Now heres hoping the card is a decent overclocker.

Good luck, i use the ATi's OC Tool and ATi Tool Beta 10. Oc with ATi Tool and change volts and fan speed on ATi's overclocker. You can just use the ATi Tool, but i like the voltage better on the ATi's OC Tool.
