Apple: Write down your passwords
Source: Security Blog (News.com)
___________ Apple advises Mac users to write down their passwords, just in case they have forgotten them when they are needed. On its Mac 101 Web site, Apple offers a document called "My Mac Cheat Sheet" (PDF). The document has spaces for Mac users to not just record their Mac OS X related usernames and passwords, but also log-in credentials for e-mail accounts, Internet access accounts and routers. |

Absolutely!
So long as you have physical security, the best place for your online passwords, is handwritten on paper, preferably in a locked desk. On the other hand, it is a very bad thing to do in any location where visitors are allowed without supervision.

in your head is the safest place, better to write notes to remind you what you used
not the passwords them selfs. Or eventaully you won't be the only one that knows your password(s).

I can barely remember how to dress myself, so I have a note sheet with all my passwords HAND WRITTEN. It's not in a file on my hard drive.
There are far, far, far too many sites with different passwords. I have to register for the NY Times, CNN, Yahoo News, blah, blah, blah. Some sites won't let you browse the content until you do register. Stupid IntarWebzzz |
