Safari 4 - fastest browser on the planet?

Proving itself a staggering 42 times faster at rendering JavaScript than IE 7, our benchmarks confirm Apple's Safari 4 browser, released in beta Tuesday, is the fastest browser on the planet. In fact, it beat Google's Chrome, Firefox 3, Opera 9.6 and even Mozilla's developmental Minefield browser.

Re: Safari 4 - fastest browser on the planet?

I have decided to use this as the main browser on my AMD build. It is different than FF and will take some getting used too but the only way to really try it is use it exclusively on that machine for a while.

I will continue using the Beta version until the final release comes out

Re: Safari 4 - fastest browser on the planet?

Quick question since this is a Beta is there somewhere to report bugs?

I have encountered 2 now and sure they just apply to the Windows implementation of this browser.

I haven't used the windows version yet, but there is a "report bugs to Apple" option in the Safari 4 beta main menu.

There's a small icon with a bug upper right corner.

Re: Safari 4 - fastest browser on the planet?

Thanks guys and I still have to remember to try PHP and Invision Power Board forums before I do.

In case anyone is interested these are the 2:

1) Returns to top of the forum page after posting on VB (possibly others)

2) Yahoo mail will open but the email itself will not open with Safari 4 set as default browser

Re: Safari 4 - fastest browser on the planet?

DAMN I mistyped that sorry Allan will correct it.

With point 1 when I post on DH using Safari 4 it returns me to the top of the forum page I posted from as opposed to showing the post I just made.

In html its a <ref> "top" usually or something like that and looks like Safari is missing it.

EDIT: Meaning Safari is missing the redirect to the last post made
