new build - iTunes question
my computer crapped out the other day
i'd only just installed new iOS on my phone, and i have almost none of my apps on the phone, they were all backed up to iTunes. now i have managed to access the knackered disk, so i have access to all the files, so my question is: can i copy over all the appropriate files (i dont know which obviously), and get iTunes running like it did before i rebuilt, with all my apps and music intact ??? you know, like i do with Steam ![]() all the hardware / OS etc is all identical in the new build, just the HDD is different. |

Re: new build - iTunes question
Just copy your /Music/iTunes folder to the new machine.

Re: new build - iTunes question
just btw, i still haven't properly sorted this.
the first time i synced it all seemed to go ok, my apps were there, but now every time i plug my phone in i have to choose to either 'restore from backup', or start over as new device.. little distracted atm by the fact that my main rig randomly crashes and i can't find out why, but this is still very very very annoying
