Forgot to comment that the article does mention this is a good monitor, better than last generation. Now someone should test the Mac as PC monitor configuration.

Can't find any information on that, You'd need to get the Manufacturer's Model # after taking it apart, (most likely Samsung) and then you'd be able to get the "real specs".
