What does running defrag in safe mode do for you
please keep it simple what does safe mode really do and how do i enter it if i dont get a start up options screen at start up

Pres F8 after BIOS info on boot, so you acces the boot menu. Running defrag in safe mode is slow. For defragmentation I recomend geting 3rd party software like Perfect Disk 7.0 etc... They have boot time defragment that defrags MFT and pagefiles
