A good substitute for Acrobat reader?

As the acrobat reader is becoming a bloatware I am looking for a good, small en fast substitute.

I found foxitreader but didn't install it yet. Anyone using it? Are there any other substitutes?

Regards, Partizan

I would have to say Foxit, but I haven't used it in a while, so I don't know if it support PDF files created with AR7. Also, just like Adobe, the reader is free, and the writer you need to pay for.

Try out RyanVM's site. He doesn't have a substitute for Reader but he offers a switchless installer that comes with all the updates and I find it runs better then what you can d/l from Adobe's site.

foxit is great, it supports all versions so far as I know. Its also very small and should suit most your PDF reading needs.

Just use an old version. Acrobat Reader 5.1 hasn't let me down yet, though I occasionally get a warning of things being potentially non-displayable.
