local information search

Hi there. How do you people deal with huge amounts of documents? We have a few computers in the local network and finding a particular document sometimes becomes a nightmare... standard windows search definitely doesn't help...

if you're looking for a better file search utility tool than the Windows's search, then check out FileLocator Pro (thirty days) or Agent Ransack (free) - http://www.mythicsoft.com/Page.aspx?...&page=features FileLocator Pro can search a file by file name much faster and easier...

right, i didn't quite word the question properly...when i was asking the question i wasnt sure myself what i need. now that i looked at the options i realize i need more of a corporate tool than desktop application...FileLocator & Agent Ransack don't manage the data volume well enough..not in the corporate network
