FireFox Questions
I've been reading about all the praises many people have for FireFox. So, I decided earlier tonight to give it a go. I've been using the latest IE 7 Beta3 and really do like the Tab feature.
Well, after using FireFox for a few hours, I have some questions: 1. Why does it not place a cursor into the Reply box when I click on it? I can click on the Reply box and start typing, but, the cursor only shows up once I've actually started typing. Strange. 2. When I Copy a Link and wish to Paste it into my reply, why can't I simply Rightclick and select a Paste option? As it is now, I have to either use CTRL-V or go up to Edit and select Paste there. Again, very strange. 3. How does Opera compare to FireFox? Pros and Cons? |

for #1 and #2, i've never experienced those problems with firefox's and been using a lot of firefox builds,
![]() could be just a few prefs that needs to be modified, try entering about:config in the location bar, and check all the prefs names and its settings... |

The cursor does appear when I go to the Advanced Reply option...but does not for the Quick Reply. I tried different Themes to see if it might be a blinking black cursor. It is not as shown in the image posted.
And, when I go to paste the link to the image, I have to click on the space and then either use CTRL-V or go up to Edit and select Paste there. ![]() I'm using the latest update, too. I actually have gone through about all the settings I can find. |

This FireFox experience is getting worse.
For some reason, now the text is not wrapping to fit the screen size I've selected. I'm having to scroll left to right to read emails and forum posts. For the record, it wasn't doing that until now. And, all I've done is gone to sleep.

if no one here have not noticed your's problem before i suggest you go over to mozilla/firefox forums they might have somethings that can help you out.
anyway, i think it'll probably take a lot for you to get used to the program and even become to like it, and then prefer to use it over the IE. have you ever found anything in the program that is working the way you like it yet? |

Hi, PangingJr:
Actually, just today...well, actually now yesterday ... MS released RC1 for IE 7. I decided to not continue trying to figure out all the nuances of FireFox and go with IE7. It's really much improved over IE6 and I actually like the tabbing better in IE7 than FireFox. I still DO have FireFox installed and may upgrade and try it out when they release 2.0 soon. So, stay tuned....

some people just like the way that IE performs and so they prefer to use IE over the other programs, or vice versa.
anyway, i think that's a good choice for you, anyway... |
