Bitdefender or NOD32 for my friend's computer?

Hi!

I am the Chief security officer for my ex girlfriend's computer and she is currently using Sygate Personal Firewall and NOD32 antivirus.

But I think she would be better off with Bitdefender as it contains both antivirus and firewall, I just don't know if Bitdefender antivirus is as good as NOD32.

What do you suggest?

Regards, Partizan

Thumbs Up! Nod32 :)

I use nod32 all the time now. I test it all the time to make sure its doing its job and it seems to quaratine suspicious files. I have my nod32 setup to scan all files, weather I'm downloading a game patch or a game demo. I like to know I'm being protected, I know that you can never really be totally secure. If you want secure go offline and disconnect the cable or the phone router. I scanned my system yesterday and it was all clear.
I also use trend micro free antivirus scan. I used bitdefender for a while but it didnt block everything and the scanner wasnt that great. I feel safer with nod32 then bitdefender.. so imo: Nod32 wins. I also use Agnitum Firewall Pro, I recommend that as a default firewall.
Nod32 + Agnitum firewall = a happier me. I like agnitum's game mode or entertainment mode when you want to play online or watch a movie. When you install agnitum make sure you install it in advanced mode for better protection.

Well, on my machine I only use NOD, because I am behind a router which has a hardware firewall. I'll try angitum for my ex and see if it's better than Sygate, because sygate isn't developed anymore.

Cool! nod32+2

Well there are some basic settings to make nod32 pretty more secure. I was scanning the internet for some tweaks do to this post and I found a place that is dedicated to just security. I'll send the link to you as a private message. Anyways I tweaked my nod32 for best protection. If nod32 isn't as compatible on her comp then bitdefender then just play with BD, cause I read that there both at top peak. I just like nod32 better, it's looks nice, most of the features are easy to find and like I said it gives me the protection I like.
