Gmail isn't internet mail, it is a pop mail server. You have to set it that way in outlook (there should be an option for a new pop email account). The server is pop.gmail.com There are instruction on the gmail website. The outgoing server (SMTP) is smpt.gmail.com Everything else seems to be how you listed it. Just do the same thing but under a new pop server account.

Specific info right HERE.
Pay particular attention to the sections 8 and 9 as you need to login using a secured method (that means secured ports, and authentication). |

yep. by default pop is disabled on your gmail account. i was having the password screen constantly come up and i was like "WTF? i put in right". and through reading the instructions on the page you provided me, i came across that enable pop page.

i don't have gmail but yahoo! mail, i think yahoo used to allow free account to use pop3/smtp servers along with its web based email a while ago and users can also use the OL/OLEX on the POP mail. wish yahoo still allowing free account users to use it.
