HELP! Restoring partitions

I deleted a partition that contained a linux install and I discovered that it had a file I need back REALLY badly. Now I realized this RIGHT as I deleted it and I havent written a new partition to it or ANYTHING. its just blank raw space. It also was done during an XP install so it wasnt like it was a great partition deletion or anything.

like I said. nothing written over it, no new FS written to it.

can it be restored?

You can give PartitionMagic 8.0 a try. It has an UNDELETE option.
