Looking for an IM client with certain features. Help?

I've used Gaim for a very long time now and I love it. I recently acquired a plugin for it that supposedly alerts you when someone checks your status, but it's not working (as it's still in early development). I was wondering if anybody knows of a multinetwork client like Gaim or Trillian that is capable of such a thing. I'm hoping it has something like Gaim's Psychic Mode (lets you see when people are typing you a new message) and that status check notification I just mentioned; aside from that, I'd really like it if it had full support for AIM file transfers.

I know this seems like a lot to ask, but I'm confident that some of you are aware of a diamond-in-the-rough like this. Thanks guys!

Miranda IM let's you see who's typing a message to you. It also has lots of plugins and supports tons of protocols. I use it for ICQ, MSN and irc. I bet there is a plugin that alerts you, when someone checks your status.

I found one status plugin for Miranda, but it's apparently only for ICQ.
