Something like remote desktop?

are there any free programs out there that will let me control my laptop from my main pc, both with windows xp. Also, not neccessary but iare there any programs that let you turn on a computer remotely?

For turning on a PC Remotely you need something like Wake On LAN, I believe most motherboards/add in LAN cards support it.
