Possible to make a "safe" IP rerouting?

Hi,

Im a brand new member to this site and I joined because the ppl here seem to be trustworthy and smart!

I have a bit of a problem.

I would like to reroute my ip so that it seems like i live in australia.
(in a safe way due to credit card information etc)

seems wierd??

Microsoft got a bit of a "soft spot" in xbox live "as they put it"

My gamercard says australia. SO
I cant use any creditcard to buy things. Not even an aussie one.
And the support ppl tell me that they compare the IP to what country your in. So either i have to go to australia to buy MS points or renew my xboxlive account.

Smart system they got huh?

So is this a possible or do i have to book a plane?

weird indeed. there are many public proxy servers you can use (google public proxy server) which lets you reroute your browser through specific locations, making you look like you come from that location.

Either that or you could try a service online like Protx - secure online payment gateway for credit card processing which lets you pay by credit card but the transaction comes from their servers (they act as a kind of middleman for further security protection). Obviously you might need to find one located in australia (just an idea it might not work at all!).
