Spy Sweeper 5.8 with Vista 64bit support

I was using Spy Sweeper 5.x on my XP install and actually liked it very much. Webroot didn't support 64bit Vista so i had to let the program go when i moved to Vista. They just released a new version, so i'm thinking of subscribing again.

I was wondering if anyone will use it? I have a hardware firewall, Windows Firewall, Norton AV and Windows Defender running. What do you guys think about SS vs WD?

I also had the same problem. I am happy with NOD32, Vista firewall and hardware firewall and not sure if I will return to Webroot unless...I'm gonna take a look at their site and see if Window Washer has also been updated for Vista x64. If it has and it's free with Spy Sweeper then I may take the plunge. Spy Sweeper has always been one of the best spyware products on the market and I was a bit disappointed when I couldn't take it with me.

Spy Sweeper, Antivirus with spyware and firewall are 64 only. Confirmed at vista64x dot com.

Other than trace cleaning what else was Washer good for? What do you like about it? I see it has drive wiping which is pretty good, but i use Active Killdisk for that.

I'll probably go for SW soon. I hope they didn't bugger anything up.

It's just that around the same time I crossed over to Vista, my license for Spy Sweeper expired. I paid for the upgrade (50% discount) only to find it wasn't 64-bit compatble and Webroot refunded within 2 days. Now, I don't want to pay the full price because they were too slow bringing their product up-to-date. So I either want Window Washer 64-bit free (if available) or Spy Sweeper at the discounted upgrade price as a loyal customer. Sounds fair to me.

Like I said earlier, I am reasonably happy with the protection I have right now but I do like a multi-player approach as each program seems to prevent certain things and after all, Spy Sweeper is the best imo.
