any free blu-ray/hd-dvd playback software out there?

I just hooked up my xbox hd-dvd player, Vista found it and installed it just fine. However it seems Windows Media Player will not play the hd-dvd's and the Cyberlink software is pricey. Is there any freebie/open source playback software available?

Have you tried VLC Media Player? I think that should do it plays pretty much any video format you can throw at it
VLC media player for Windows
And yah it's free
