Viewing registry of another disk?

hey guys this might be a noob question (I can't remember how!) but here goes...

I want to view/edit the registry of another disk while it's plugged in via USB Docking station ... I just know there's a way.
I want to copy and the delete a few keys and then the disk will boot up to windows properly...

I know this responce is a little late but if your still looking for an answer. This tool
should let you edit the registry on the effected pc.

Offline NT pw & reg-editor, bootdisk

which is part of Ultimate Boot CD which is a collection of useful utilities

Only free thing i ran across that might help. There are boot cds that have
the tools you need but sadly they cost anywhere from $50 to $300+
