Hello, got a problem with using this MobilityModder tool

My graphics card is really outdated and can't be updated because the drivers never came out for it. So I installed Mobility Modder, however Catalyst control center is now at 8.11 which is what I was hoping for. Now when I play any games at all, it has black screens on the edges of the monitor if it is not at the native resolution. I can not use the native resolution most of the time because my computer can't handle it. What do I do?

ATI Mobility Radeon 2600XT
4GB RAM
Intel Cour duo 2.2Ghz
