iTunes DRM Removal

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good iTunes DRM removal program? There are a lot out there, but it's tough to figure out the good from the bad. These are all songs I purchased through the iTunes store, but I want the music available for my non-iPod MP3 player. A free piece of software is preferred, but if there is a good program that costs a few bucks I'm not opposed.

Any recommendations?

Re: iTunes DRM Removal

In the olden days the best method was to burn to CD/CDRW (which removes the DRM) and then rip in whatever application you want. that could save you having to try various different programs and clutter up your build. (Burn with Itunes, rip with WMP)

Of course, that does cause issues if you have about 100 albums to convert

I've read that method but not the best method. I haven't bought 100 albums through iTunes but I have bought a lot. And I only have a few blank CD's. Not enough.

KernSafe - TotalMounter
Found this one in a list of virtual drives, unusual in that it is a BURNABLE virtual, not just an image mounter.

So you burn to virtual drive, then rip back to whatever you like.

Unfortunately this can't install on Windows 7 x64. Besides that, for some reason I can't change my optical drive in iTunes. It's locked on my current drive even when I disable it in Device Manager.
