Re: spyware on my PC!!!
imo best solution
www.superantispyware.com download the home eddition.. run a full scan.. and cross your fingers.. if it prevents admin privilages too (the virus/spyware you got)... the repair features under the preferences tab work great too.

Re: spyware on my PC!!!
The best advice I can give you right now is to run a few scans with a bunch of different software to see if it helps clean things up. Take a look at these software:
Malwarebyte's Anit-Malware SUPERAnti-Spyware (same as what Judas linked to) Both of these are free, and they have paid versions too which simply add active scanning when purchased. Spybot Search & Destroy (not as effective as it used to be though) Ad-Aware AE CounterSpy (15 day free trial, and even though it's a trial software it still cleans, not just report) If you don't have an anti-virus software, or have Norton or McAfee, download something like Avast! Free Edition (be sure to uninstall Norton or McAfee, reboot, then install Avast. Don't install Avast while either of those are installed). One of the things I like about Avast is that they have a boot scan option that takes place before Windows starts (open up Avast, click on "Scan Computer" on the left side, then choose "Boot-time Scan"). Only problem is that it only works with 32bit operating systems. They have a paid version too, the Pro version, but if you're going to a paid AV software I'd recommend something like ESET's NOD32 Anti-virus v.4.0. Cleaning wise, install and update each software if you can, disconnect from the Internet, and run each software in sequence, rebooting between each software scan. NEVER remain connected to the Internet. I would also recommend doing a scan with each software in Safe Mode too. Then, run each software in both modes again. Sometimes one software will catch something that others won't, but once that software cleans what it finds the others start seeing things. 2 more suggestions: - If this is XP I would also recommend cleaning with something called SDFix. You first run this under the user you normally use within Safe Mode. Once it's done the first part you reboot into normal mode under the same user, and it will run the second half of the fix. Don't run this with Vista or Windows 7 though. - Lastly, take a look at THIS page on Major Geeks forums. It is a post that includes cleaning suggestions/directions, as well as suggestions for which softwares to use (a couple of which I've suggested) and links to those software. Once you've done all the above come back, and let us know how things went. And good luck on this. Just remember this: if it takes longer than a couple days to fix, and all this stuff keeps coming back, it might be time to do a reinstall. Even though it would take time to back you data, and a while to reinstall things, sometimes it's the better way. |

Re: spyware on my PC!!!
hello,
I think you shud block the pop-ups in ur IE ,but this also will not solve the problem completely as it may not block all the pop-ups. And yes pop-ups can also make u install spywares accidentally so u need some gud antispyware along with blocking the pop-ups. I have 1 good application installed on my system Advanced System Optimizer along with an Antispyware it also have other Privacy Protection tool. This will also speed up ur system You shud try this as it blocks the spyware b4 it can enter your system. and will also clean the infections if any. Try this.. U can download this from cnet All the best... cya |
