Conime.exe Trojan virus or WHAT???

For about 4 days now my C Cleaner program, when in Registry clean mode, has been showing a link going to a file called conime.exe. I fix it, but the next time I reboot, it's back again. I have also noticed that my PC has slowed down when I exacute a program. I have ran full scans with MSE and Malwarebytes programs with no infections found. I have been told this is a Trojan Virus that is consealed from being detected.

I have been told to use unlocker software to remove it with. Also DON'T remove it as this is needed for Windows security.

Anyone with help or suggestions would gladly be received!

What folder is this file located? Since I bet you don't have Asian language support enabled in your system.

[EDIT] if you see the program in the Task Manager look it's Properties and there look the details if has MS info on it then you are ok

I'm running Win 7, home Prem. on my PC. When I tried to run search on conime.exe, I never found anything by searching. I went in Windows folder and opened up regedit, and I found 3 different listings which I deleted and the slowness stopped and C Cleaner showed nothing found when I ran the registry mode.

I started thing about what I did to my PC about the time coime.exe showed up, and then I remembered I updated my printer driver for my Kodak printer. I made sure everything was OK, and then I turned my printer on printed something out and guess what?? conime.exe was back. I don't know why or how, but something in the driver update is loading it. I guess I will have to just erase it ever time I use my printer and/or wait till Kodak releases a new driver update and hope the problem disappears HA HA

PS-I'm going to email Kodak about this in case they don't know about it.

try this : Click Start - Run - type cmd - click ok. Now you got terminal screen. now type cd \ [enter] then dir /s conime.exe then you will get the info where the files are.

It's a system file related to the IME for Asian languages. Malware often take the name of system files however.

You probably just have support for some Asian characters installed.
