Stupid Welcome tab in IE9 won't go away

I just reformatted my gaming system with Win 7 Enterprise 64bit. Still going through the installs for the programs I use and setting up different things. Every time I start IE9 it opens two tabs automatically. My home page, which I have set to be google.ca, and the second tab is "Explorer 9: Meet Your New Browser". I figured it would go away after the first time viewing it but I've constantly closed it and opened it and restarted my computer and it won't go away. I've also tried making my home page default again, blank, and redoing it for Google, still no luck. My next thing I was going to try was uninstalling it, but I can't find the uninstall in Programs. If I remember right, it has a funky way to uninstall it. I figured I'd ask her before I tried that. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of that second )*&% tab from popping up?

don't know what I did, but it's not doing it any more.

Programs and Features tab-> in left panel press 'View installed updates'
uninstall it from there and reinstall IE9... hope it helps

If you close the tab and then close IE9,it shouldnt open it again!!

When the welcome screen comes up just go though the options (like choose yr search engine etc...) and at the end there should be a finish button or something like that
