exclamation CPu Cooling Software

Hey,

I am after a good software program for cooling my CPU.

I have aheard of CPU Cool and others. My CPU is AMD running Windows XP SP1.

Why don't you just run F@H or SETI, cuz it's better to use those idle cycles then just to waste them away. Besides big swings in cooling ... i.e. 20C -> 40C isn't good for the CPU in the long run. It's best to keep the CPU at a constant temp as long as it's running cool enough.

100% agree. I have sometimes gotten worse overclocks by using a software cooler.

... Winodws XP has an idler.... it will work better in general then anything else.... usually other idlers were ment for windows 9x systems....

I would say just invest some money and time and install an external, portable watercooling setup. I recently added the Koolance Exos system and it's just awesome. The CPU never exceeds even 33 C under constant full load.

I use a program called Speedfan.


It monitors the temps on your board with a graph and it also allows you change the RPM values of all your fans connected to the mainboard.

check it out. i use it alot to make my computer shutup.
