All FREE download managers should be considered Spyware, unless you have information that they are not.
PAID versions often forget to remove the spyware!

http://www.yanew.com/english.htm - Download Expert, once the darling of alt.comp.freeware , but now displaced by more recent offerings (I used it until it had a couple of poor updates, and never wen't back - I recall it automatically creating a new task on a redirect, which may be useful).

There's a good many more at webattack, and although they list adware and freeware together, they usually do a good job of identifying which is which.

Strangely, after getting a 5 star, Star Downloader isn't there? - it did have a period of problems, so perhaps they dropped it when it was considered "unsafe".
