??? A good PC optimiser

Hey everyone,

Hope you all had a safe Christmas. I have a question about software that keeps your PC in good health - an example of what i mean is Norton Win doctor. I am after a product that is up to date though--- that fixes problems with your PC.

At pressent I use Advanced Registry optimser by SYS TWEAk and it’s excellent for REG stuff. Is PCMEDIK any good, as I have seen this around?

I've never seen any of those programs being worth the money. Keep your registry cleaned with that prog you have. Keep your system free of junk temp files and etc. Keep your Hard drive defragged. And everything should be fine. Also keep your windows up to date as well.

I am going to have to disagree with zerodamage on this one, but only partially. One I have had good luck with was PC Accelerator by SmartAlec. It did seem to give noticeable speed ups, an example being XP being loaded before the little blue loading bar can finish even once which is, sufficed to say, quite an improvement. It is one to be careful with as you should know what you are doing, make a fresh backup of your system settings, etc etc. Give it a try.

I use all these products regularly and they all work great! I have never heard of PCMEDIK, but if you keep your PC clean you'll be fine.

I use the regsupreme program here: http://www.jv16.org

It is shareware but works great. It removes all of the dead values and etc. Do the deepscan.

WHen you are done, just uninstall it and then reinstall again in a few months if you want to do it again.
