mp3 software?

Hi ppl,

My friend is a DJ and she wants me to make some mp3's from her Cd's. Any ideas on which software is the best for this?

If quality is a concern then I would recommend trying Exact Audio Copy with LAME MP3 encoder.

Not exactly the easiest to set up, but the result can make it worthwile.

MusicMatch does real good job also believe it or not.

I've heard alot of people complain that MusicMatch clips frequency ranges or something (I've never noticed any problem), but it's what I use. Version 7.5 to be specific, version 8 wants a new CDKey.

I'd recommend a visit to www.hydrogenaudio.org

Exact Audio Copy, plus the HA recommended compile of LAME.

Alt-Preset Standard if you want VBR at medium-high bitrate, with good quality
Alt-preset Extreme if you want to throw more VBR bitrate at it
