Why revive a thread that last saw action almost a year ago?

There's no charge for starting a new thread

Some people would look at the dates on page 1, and not bother looking further - I only looked, because I thought it was about the new DX9.0b (and maybe needing a patch) ... though with my crappy old card, Dx9.0b isn't going to do much for it .
