slipstreaming sp2

With sp2 coming out I want to slipstream sp2 into my copy of windows. Now I dont know if my copy is sp1 or sp1a. My question is does it matter when slipstreaming if its sp1 or sp1a or should my copy have no server packs at all? I'm new to slipsteaming and any advice is greatly appreciated.

i would like to add that slipstreaming sp2 can actually create some errors. I do not have the ip right now but if u do get some ( when updating the XP_CD files with SP2) dont think u did something wrong.
