Ventrilo Problem

I am on a team for Links 2003 and we rent a ventrilo server. We have about 20 active members right now, and only one guy has a problem. His ventrilo works fine when hes not in the game, but once the game gets going his ventrilo keeps disconnecting / reconnecting. We have tried all the basic stuff, reinstall it, virus checks, spyware checks and I think we even updated the chipset drivers for his mobo. If i remember right he uses onboard sound. He has 512 of RAM and a 2.0+ processor w/ a decent graphics card. Any ideas would be appreciated.
