Virus Checker

I have two PCs,... one has the modem, and I share the connection so i can use the other PC with the internet.

QUESTION,...

Do I only need a Virus Checker on on the first PC with the modem.?
Will it scan/monitor and protect the seconed computer as well?

You will need an anti virus on both computers to scan the hard drives and operating memory...

[color=white]Hey Dread, some computer viruses spread through files copied from floppies rather than through the network. Getting an antivirus program on each computer increases the likelihood of preventing this. When using Microsoft ICS or a proxy server, it's also possible for a person to download files from the Internet directly to any client computer on the home LAN. Even though the file's contents pass through the server's network interface, these downloads generally won't trigger the server's antivirus program because the data appears in the form of network data packets, not actual files that can be scanned. With antivirus software on each client, these downloads can be monitored. So ya of course bro.[/color]

Could anyone recomend a free virus checker?

PC Cillin has allways fu#ked up my PC when its istalled. (explorer errors / webtrap errors etc, etc) Any one else had this problem with PC Cillin?
