Those who are attached to firefox because of how free it is can now stop bitching. Opera is now completely free and no ads, not like a pain it was to find a serial anyhow

Opera 8.5 free

for people using firefox that are stuck w/ adblock, here is a simpler way to block ads at system level.

Extract to whichever directy make sense
Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME = C:\WINDOWS

yeah im glad they went free, its superior to any other windows browser, now more people will try it and realise that.

for some reason the tabs are so much more easier to use, and just everything is faster + lower memory usage. The main reason i use opera is because not only is it tabbed, but it contains windows in its own virtual window, pretty neat, keeps out the cluster

Any improvements over version 8.02? I have the version with the free reg key that I got last week. I think the word closest to decscribing the browser is *solid*. I really like it now.

What makes Opera Better for thoes that have used it. I use Firefox 90% and IE the other 10% of the time.

Why should I think about swithing to Opera

This version is a lot smoother than the last, it seems faster too. there is no hastle with the CPU or any heat issues this time..............Well happy at the moment, but I have to play with it a lot more before I decide wether to keep it or not!

yas i hafta say im likin this, just hada ta play with the options and such and get all my bookmarks imported, does anyone know if its possible to rearange the toolbars at the top of the page ?? like having my presonal bar at the bottom of the top w\ my bookmarks and such rather than the adress bar being last on the top?? sry if this is confusing!

i thought i did a pretty crappy job of explaining !! sry, just awoke!

this is all i wanna do though swap these 2 around as i use bookmarks more frequently than the addy bar and id like them at the bottom of the top section,

With FireFox that whole top section is dragable to where u like it.

Yas i aquired MeGuiDO through Operas themes changer\browser. i do like the darker color\contrast

It seems you can only click on the toolbar you want to position (in customize toolbars > toolbars tab) and move it top, bottom, left or right....I don't see a way of rearranging the order of the toolbars. As a work around, you could move the personal bar to the bottom I guess, or remove it.

EDIT: it's a little more combersome than it should be, but here's a walkthrough on how to do it

Turn on 'Main bar'
Remove every items from the Main bar.
Drag and Drop every items from 'Address bar' to the empty Main bar.
Turn off the Address bar.

Before making the changes, use "Save this session" from the File menu, name the session you want to save anyname you like.
so you can get back to the previous state by loading the session...
