Frustrating Problem w/ Excel (Typed Number Format Messed Up)
I am not sure what I did to excel, but I am ready to pull what little hair I have left out. Everytime I type a number in excel it shows up as that number / 100,000. For example If I type the number "1" it shows up as "0.00001". I have looked through all the options and chaged anything i thought might be relevant to no avail. I went to Format/Cells/Number and was sure that general was selected. I shut it down reopened it made sure no formulas were applied so I have no idea what is going on.
I made a chart in word and pasted it over to excel and it pasted/formatted fine. I also performed calculations on the data in the chart and the numbers in the "results chart" showed up correctly. I am only having the problem when I manually type a number in. If anyone can help me out that would be great. I am about ready to just unintall office and reinstall it!
