If the 0 ping rates, and 100mbps connections and getting the opportunity to meet a few of today's movers and shakers in the computer industry aren't enough to get you packing, how about the chances for prizes and free stuff and having a lot of fun? If you like to play games, Whether you're barely computer literate or an expert this is the event for you!

This event is well known for the large list sponsors very gracious giveaways. Although I have to admit this year's list of sponsors was a lot smaller when compared to last years. The word is some of last years major players got burnt by some of the politics involved. This also dried up the tap of ever flowing give-a-ways that we seen at last years event. In my honest opinion last years sponsorships had a lot to do with ATI's helping hand. A list of this year's sponsors can be found here (only Nvidia, Asus, Ubi Software, Hitachi, Corsair, and ICY Dock made an actual visible appearance.)

This years Official Tournaments included:

  • Half Life Counter Strike
  • Battlefield Vietnam
  • Unreal Tourney 2004 Death Match
  • DDR
  • Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne.

This years UN-Official Tournaments included:

  • Call of Duty
  • Medal of Honor: Breakthrough

Over the 4 days of this event there will be two Q&A sessions, one by NVIDIA, and one by Asus. Free prizes and contests will be spread out among all 4 days of the event. This year I visited more as a representative member of Driverheaven then for myself all though I had loads of fun. I spent a lot of time taking hundreds of pictures and notes for your viewing enjoyment. I apologize in advance; some of my pictures aren't the greatest due the lighting in certain areas.

Be sure to read the last page commentary carefully as it is from a different point of view. Its written by my girlfriend Stepahnie "The_Penguin" who is pretty new to PCs. Until last year she was a Mac user and turning a computer on, installing software is about the limit of her technical expertise. Hopefully she will see events like this are for users of all levels. It's also a great place to learn, get advice, or to have alot of fun. Now onto the fruits of our labor...
