Problem using Wave in Lagic Audio
Hi,
I´m verry happy as I found the KX Project and i can now use asio with my sb live player. After one day setup alls things funktionally as i want. the softsynth of emagic (ES-2) work fine, but: if i playing a wave file (vocals), then (after some times) a message pup up, Error while trying to synchronize Audio and MIDI. Sample Rate 46357 (random) recognized). The CPU use is verry low I tryed to rise the latenztime but no success. A tryed also to install the VIA4in1 driver+Latency Patch but this made the crackle more extreme. Any tips or settings? Last edited by Gnassel; Jan 26, 2003 at 09:56 PM. |

I've got the same problem with Logic 5.3 (I also have 5.5 but it has bugs eith plug-ins). I only use the a NI battery plug-in to playpack samples with a couple of fx rest is midi. My problem started as " ASIO unable to synchronize midi and audio" now even if I haven't changed anything everytime I start the sequencer I get "ASIO overload" and a couple of other warnings. I even got a warning saiyng "too many chanels"!? I'm running a amd450Mhz 128M with a soundblaster live!
So if anybody has had the same problem and hopefully got rid of it please help. Installing kx drivers wasn't easy either I had to boot my machine almost ten times (without changing anything ) to make it work at least decently. I have tried different latency or buffer sizes but it doesn't seem to make any diffrence. So do I really have to give up using ASIO API because of this?

karppa
>warning saiyng "too many chanels"!? - that's the answer, disable unused inputs and outputs in logic's asio setup, by default logic opens all of kx's 16 ins / 16 outs, it's relatively huge amount of resources (and will work only for minimal latencies set - which your machine is uncapable of) btw... i think there's thread with more hints on that somewhere in these forums... (not sure though) try to search maybe...

thanks for your reply! I got an other one at sonikmatter forums suggesting live! ,logic and kx drivers is not
valid combination. Hope this works though. You know when people don't have that much money and still want to make some quality electronic music they have to fix computers out of "garbage" parts and special software.I hope kx drivers is the kind of software I can use. I'm so bored in all the windows stuff working only with brand new expensive setups. Its a good work your doing! oh and your assistance is great nerver seen this with big "companies".
