i think i've got a similar problem:
i have a soundblaster live player 1024(CT4760), with direct x 9 installed. i use logic 5.5.0, and i tried to use the kx asio driver for low latency recording. i configured everything exactly as in the asio tutorial (by dj stick), but still i don't get any input at any of the asio inputs, but i can hear myself talking into the mic. can someone help me? |

There are BETAs of 3538 which are newer but stick with 3537. I don't really use the mixer anymore for recording-I am too old to keep track of all those sliders. Simplify the setup by creating a custom recording DSP.
Download ProFX for 3537: http://members.home.nl/nahutec/ProFx/ProFx307_34.zip How to setup the DSP by Lex: http://members.home.nl/nahutec/kxtutor/kxtutor.html Load the ProFX and then set up the DSP Lex describes on his page using ProFX. Yours will look a bit different because he has snazzed up the skins of his plugins since writing the tutorial. Once you have that set up it should be easier to get to your recording problem. |

wow, thanks, that's it!! i think i understand the whole dsp thing now and it really works! (well, almost ... i can't set the profx src plugin to "ac97 linein" but i use the prolog now...).
what i noticed, is that the profx asio14/15 map to input 1/2 in logic ... weird. |

Glad you got it going.
I just took a look at that page. It is more outdated than I thought. Line In and Mic In and some others are in the ProFX ADC plugin now. Quote:

i'll also try to make a list how the stuff is mapped in my sound card and post it here somewhere. |
