ASIO Error: "Failed to open the audio device KX Asio"?
At least it only happens when trying to use ASIO.
This problem is common for me on Win2000. Doesn't happen on win98, haven't tried on winXP, but I think it might be ok on XP if I had it. I have a hunch this is win2k specific. Is this a common problem/bug? |

no, this should not happen under Win2k/Win98/WinXP
please, make sure you've installed the driver correctly please, read 'readme.html' file and follow installation guides available on our site and in the help file /Eugene |

FIX IS THIS:-
Control Panel --> Sound Settings --> Click both Advanced tabs setting HARDWARE ACCELERATION to `FULL` This is the 2nd time I've forgotton that this is the fix to that problem! --- ***ADD TO FAQ -> *** Q: "I get the error message "ASIO Error: 'Failed to open the audio device KX Asio'" How do I fix? A: You need to turn on hardware acceleration for your soundcard. To do this go Control Panel --> Sound Settings --> Click the top Advanced tab ---> set both HARDWARE ACCELERATION levels to `FULL` With thanks,
