Recording Problems
hi,
i use guitar rig 2 and i'm only able to enable the sound that way that i hear the sound like it comes in at the soundcard AND the sound that guitar rig 2 procduces... naturaly this sucks! i have a soundblaster live! 5.1 (player?) what also confuses me ist that i'm only able to record if "GAIN" is enables in the AC97 mixer menu... i've read a bit the docs but found nothing... EDIT: same in soundforge, when i use the sound wrapper it works fine, only have the trouble with ASIO, but the other ones have to much latency |

As for the GAIN slider, you do not have to add GAIN (i.e. slider can be set to 0), but the slider cannot be muted. This is normal behavior.
As for hearing both the wet signal and the dry signal at the same time, there are a couple of possibilities depending on your DSP config. 1) Make sure that all of the sliders at the bottom of the AC97 page (in kxmixer) are muted. 2) Make sure that prolog (in the DSP) is only connected to the ASIO pins of epilog (disconnect any connections from prolog to xrouting). If you are using a custom DSP config, then you will have to provide more info about that. |
