Random asio routing in Cubase SX 3
Hi.
Through "VST connections" in Cubase SX 3 i can assign the ASIO inputs/outputs to use the hardware resources of the SB Live. I can assign not only the phisical audio inputs and outputs but also the DSP effects using function “External FX” and the KX synth as "External instrument" like a VSTi. Well. But there is a little big problem: sometime unexpectedly the ASIO routing change: In the KX in 12 and 13 i had the synth but now i find the effect return, In the KX in 2 and 3 i had the spdif in but now i find the synth... a very chaos. I can restore the right routing with a asio reset in Cubase (devices -> device setup -> VST audiobay -> reset) but the problem reappears after some minut. some idea? thanks |

Not sure if thats a cubase bug or not with what you are describing.. but,...
I think if you do a forum search for your soundcard model (ie 'SB0220' - without quotes) you *may* find it to be a known issue with your card model.. ?? |

Thanks.
I have tried to change my SB Live! CT4620 with a CT4670 but the problem is the same. I have tried also to change the drivers version from 3537 to 3538m but nothing changes. This is a big damage because finally i was successful to use the emu10k1 dsp in optimal way with cubase after 4 years of tests! I pray everyone to be interested to the problem . |
