Cubase SX2: No Inputs (CT4760 - KxProject 3534)
Soundcard: CT4760 (Sb Live! Player 1024)
Using kxproject 3534 Hello everybody! I have just installed the KxProject Drivers and they sound really great (not to forget the low Latency they provide in Cubase SX2). Now I wanted to test some Recording-stuff, but... In Cubase SX2, I have NO Inputs? I have not messed around with anything in Kx, everything is in it's default-setting (and I need teh Soundcard for pure Windows-Sounds, too, so I cannot set it up for pure ASIO), the AC97 Inputs in the Prolog are connected to the ASIO-Inputs in Epilog, everything "looks" right so far.. Still, I have no Inputs in Cubase SX2... they are simply empty, no names showing up. All I need is the Microphone-Input from the Soundcard (that'd be the AC97 MicIn I think) within Cubase... Help?!? Here are some Screens with (hopefully) helpful informations: VST Outputs: ImageShack - Hosting :: ausgaengefb8.png VST Inputs (empty): ImageShack - Hosting :: eingaengebr8.png VST Connections (empty): ImageShack - Hosting :: verbindungenop8.png Kxp: ImageShack - Hosting :: kxpkq4.png |

Make sure the sample rate in the ASIO Control Panel (kX Settings) and Cubase is 48000.

Woah, thank you very much, Russ...
Meanwhile I found the latest driver (3539) and use that one... spent almost the whole night here to play around with the DSP and stuff, I think I got it set up right now... everything seems to work so far. The fact that the small "Windows Mixer Loudspeaker"-Icon is missing in the system-tray of XP shocked me at first, but I think I do not need it really... we'll see if this is an issue (it is not for now). Thanks again for your quick reply... So, I can only record within Projects that are set to 48.000 KHz? Is there any chance that this can be changed to 44.100 KHz somehow? I sometimes get files from other home-recording friends in 44.100 KHz and I'd have to convert them to 48.000 KHz which is possibly not the best way to work... AFAIK, ASIO output is direct from the DSP, which is locked at 48000, so (it seems) it is not possible to record at 44100 using ASIO with kX.

What model sound card do you have?
What driver are you using in Cubase (i.e. kX ASIO?)? What DSP config are you using? What signal(s) are you trying to route to Cubase? |
