Upgrade from SBLive to Audigy 2 ZS?

Hi,

would my latency benefit from an upgrade from SBLive to Audigy 2 ZS?
Currently I have a latency of 21.33 ms but would like to at least get under 10 ms with the new card on my P4 2 GHz with 2 GB Ram.

Thanks for any answer.

I don't think so, but the sound quality / dsp power will for sure, so upgrade it anyway.

I think you should upgrade your computer to at least a core 2 duo. I am running an E4400 overclocked @3GHZ, with 2 gig of ddr2-800 RAM.
I can record in FL Studio at 5.33 milliseconds. 2 tracks of audio smoothly on my SB Live Platinum. (CT5760) All thanks to the KX driver. Try routing your own DSP setup to lower your latency a bit. Worked for me!
I just purchased a ZS off of Ebay for cheap and am gonna play with it for a few years. I have had my SBlive for 10 years now. It's no wonder Creative dosn't want to provide proper support for sound blaster products. They want you to keep buying the latest card.

latency performance will be pretty much identical, but as stated above, you get more than twice the DSP resources and a decent increase in audio quality
